The brief

A dedicated platform for mentorship.

Mentor connects aspiring creatives with verified professionals for 1-to-1 sessions. Quality mentorship in creative fields is hard to find: coaching is expensive, industry-specific guidance is rare, and there's no trusted place to see who's worth learning from. Until now, designers and digital creators have relied on cold LinkedIn messages, costly coaching or luck. Mentor is a curated marketplace built to change that.

The challenge

Mentor had to serve two distinct user types

01

Seeking direction

Aspiring creatives who can't find affordable, quality guidance.

02

Offering their time

Professionals who have no easy way to share their expertise.

Research & discovery

Three steps to a relational platform.

01

Review

Competing platforms

Most platforms treat mentorship as a transaction: book a call, move on.

02

Interview

Both sides of the match
  • Mentors feared overcommitment.
  • Mentees didn't know who to choose.
03

Design for reassurance

Something more relational

Make the first step feel safe and small.

Design direction

Fresh, energetic and human.

A green/white palette feels fresh without being chaotic, while clean typography and generous whitespace build trust. The goal: premium enough to attract top mentors, welcoming enough for first-time mentees to take the leap.
